Keynote Speeches

This video is a recording of the keynote speech on immigration at the Fellowship Southwest Compassion & Justice Conference on September 8, 2023 in Dallas, TX.

Rev. Dr. Alexia Salvatierra is the Academic Dean of the Centro Latino at Fuller Theological Seminary and the Associate Professor of Mission and Global Transformation. She is the co-author of Faith-Rooted Organizing: Mobilizing the Church in Service to the World and Buried Seeds: Learning from the Vibrant Resiliency of Marginalized Christian Communities.

She has been engaging the Church in social transformation for over 40 years, as a pastor, community development practitioner, community organizer and legislative advocate, non-profit organization director and missionary. She was the co-founder of the New Sanctuary Movement, the Evangelical Immigration Table, and the Guardian Angels project for unaccompanied migrant minors.

 

The other three keynote speakers at the Compassion & Justice Conference 2023 were Eugene Cho, Kaitlin Curtice and Jemar Tisby. To access the videos of their speeches, you have two options:

  1. If you registered for and attended the C&JC in person, you can pay an additional $10 and receive a password to access the videos for six months. Email anyra@fellowshipsouthwest.org for instructions.

  2. If you did not attend the conference, you can join the Epiphany Collective, Fellowship Southwest’s community of monthly donors.
