Meet the Preachers!

Today is “Meet the Teachers” at my daughter’s school, so let’s go ahead and “Meet the Preachers” for our upcoming conference today too!

Both days of the Friday-Saturday conference, Sept. 8-9, will conclude with a brief worship session. The preacher for Friday’s worship is Zach W. Lambert, and the preacher for Saturday’s worship is Rev. Victoria Robb Powers.

Zach W. Lambert

Zach Lambert is the Lead Pastor and founder of Restore Austin, a church in urban Austin, Texas. Under his leadership, Restore has grown from a founding team of 4 people to over 500 members.

Zach is the co-founder of the Post Evangelical Collective where he serves as a board member. He is also on the board of Restore Houston (a church plant he helped launch), Hub Garage (a non-profit for single moms), the Austin Church Planting Network, and the Multi-Faith Neighbors Network.

Zach and his wife, Amy, met each other in the 6th grade, fell in love at 17, and got married at 21. They love watching live music, discovering local Mexican food places, and playing with their two boys.

Zach is well-known for his Twitter (or is it X now?) presence where he consistently speaks truth to power, modeling for us all how to dialogue with compassion and conviction. Follow him @ZachWLambert.

Rev. Victoria Robb Powers

The closing worship service for the conference on Saturday will be a shorter time of reflection, with a sermon by Rev. Victoria Robb Powers.

Victoria serves as Senior Pastor at Royal Lane Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. She is the first female to pastor a Baptist church in the DFW Metroplex. Prior to Royal Lane, Victoria served in United Methodist churches in Dallas for several years. She is a graduate of Baylor University and Brite Divinity School at TCU in Fort Worth. Victoria lives with her husband and three children in Lake Highlands.

Victoria is also a board member of Fellowship Southwest and of the Baptist House of Studies at SMU Perkins School of Theology.

Next week, Victoria will celebrate the release of her first book, which she co-authored with Cameron Mason Vickrey from Fellowship Southwest. Their children’s book, My Love, God Is Everywhere, is published by Tommy Nelson. You can learn more about the book at their joint Instagram account, @ReverendMamas.
