We’re Hiring a Director of Advocacy. Apply Now!

Last week we told you about our newest staff person and this week we’re announcing a new full-time opening at Fellowship Southwest: Director of Advocacy.

Given the priority issues for FSW – hunger, racial justice, Native concerns and immigration – in addition to other pressing issues like public education, religious liberty and the death penalty, we have ample opportunities for faith-based advocacy. In fact, opportunities for engagement have surpassed the capacity of our current staff, and we are excited to see what a dedicated Director of Advocacy can bring to the table.

We are convinced that if the voices of our faithful audience and partners as well as the voices of those alongside whom we serve come together, we can make an impact in these distressing times.

So far, much of our state advocacy has focused on the Texas Legislature. In addition to growing advocacy at the national level alongside partners like Bread for the World and BJC, we hope that the Director of Advocacy will expand our reach in states beyond Texas, even as we continue to maintain and grow our work there.

This high-level director position will work closely with Executive Director Stephen Reeves. The Director of Advocacy will need to live in or relocate to Austin, Texas, and needs to have substantial advocacy experience.

Apply by filling out this form by September 29, 2025.
